CLSF Announces Partnership with Heat United Soccer Club to Establish FORCE Huntley.

CRYSTAL LAKE (June 21, 2022) – Crystal Lake Soccer Federation will form a strategic partnership with Huntley’s Heat United Soccer Club.

Heat United’s existing competitive soccer program & coaching staff will now operate as “FORCE Huntley” under the Crystal Lake Soccer Federation umbrella, while retaining its community roots. FORCE Huntley plans to utilize Mackeben Elementary School for outdoor training, Tomaso Park for games, and Union Special for indoor training. Heat United’s existing coaching staff will coach the FORCE Huntley teams for the upcoming 2022-23 season, where they will work hand-in-hand with Crystal Lake FORCE coaches and leadership to provide enhanced player development opportunities to the Huntley community. Megan “Mia” Larkin is set to serve as the FORCE Huntley Director of Operations, working as a direct liaison between FORCE Huntley and Crystal Lake FORCE.

“On behalf of everyone at Crystal Lake Soccer Federation, we’re delighted to welcome the Huntley soccer community to our FORCE family”, said Kristian Rockall, Executive Director - CLSF.

“This is a momentous step for the continued growth of competitive youth soccer in McHenry County. We’re extremely excited to work together to provide a top quality soccer experience in both communities, while also offering more regional and national opportunities for our players as we continue to expand the club's presence and reach. An exciting journey lies ahead, and we look forward to working with the Huntley coaches, players, and families this Fall and for years to come!

Regarding the partnership, Megan “Mia” Larkin said, “This agreement brings together two

community-based, player-centered clubs who share many core values. When we look at the short and long term goals of player development, I am truly thrilled with the opportunities that this partnership will provide for our Northwest area athletes. Their continued growth is at the forefront of my mind, and I am so proud of the incredible talent and drive that has come through our club. We are so thankful to our coaches, families, and the Crystal Lake Soccer Federation staff. This has been an easy transition, and we already feel a part of the FORCE family! We look forward to an incredible future together, and we are excited to have found a home with the high quality program that FORCE Huntley will offer.”
