How to Be a Referee
Are you interested in becoming a referee? Will you be at least 12 years old before the start of the spring season? If you are, then all you need to do is take the MCSRA New Referee Class and participate in a referee practice game. The class will be offered on Saturday, February 27, 2010. To register download the form, fill it out and mail it in. Class size is limited , so register early.

Referee Advancement
If you already referee for the CLSF, you are always being observed by the referee committee. Based on your experience and your ability you will be asked to advance to the next level. You will be notified by a letter as to your next advancement. If you choose to advance you must take the appropriate MCSRA class and in some cases referee in a practice game. To register download the form, fill it out and mail it in. Class size is limited , so register early.

USSF Entry Level
If you already referee for the CLSF, you are always being observed by the referee committee. Based on your experience and your ability you will be asked to to become USSF Certified. If you would like to become USSF Certified, you will need to take the USSF Entry Level Clinic. MCSRA will host the two day Entry clinic on Saturday and Sunday, January 30 and February 4. Registration for this clinic can be found on the IYSA website, www.iysa.org and click on referee link. The clinic has not yet been posted, but keep checking the IYSA website often as this clinic fills up quickly.
USSF Refresher
If you are already USSF Certified you must take a refresher clinic every year. MCSRA will host two of these clinics. One clinic will be held on Sunday, January 17 and the other willbe on Sunday, February 21. The January 17 clinic is for referees over 21 and more experienced referees. The February 21 clinic is for referees under 21 and less experienced referees. Registration for these clinics can be found on the IYSA website, www.iysa.org and click on referee link. The clinics have not yet been posted, but keep checking the IYSA website often as these clinics fills up quickly.
