YOUTH ACADEMY

Youth Academy 2010-11

 

The Youth Academy is for players born between 8/1/02 and 7/31/04 that are interested in playing competitive soccer and receiving professional coaching. This program is hybrid program of the Recreational and FORCE program where players will be allowed to continue playing with their recreational team, but will also train and play one game per week (during the fall/spring season) with their Academy Team.

 

The focus of this program is to enhance players technical skills to better prepare them for the transition from recreational soccer to competitive soccer. Players will focus on the foundations of the game that will better prepare them for the U9 FORCE Program.

 

Youth Academy players will:

 

  1. ~ Train one day per week with their recreational team and one day with their Academy team
    1. ~ Play in one CLSF Recreational game and one Academy game per week (against other local Academy teams: Cary, Lake Zurich, Palatine, McHenry, and Huntley)
  2. ~ Train one day per week throughout the winter (January - March) with their Academy Team
  3. ~ Play in one tournament per year

 

How to Join:

 

When registering for CLSF, there will be an option to select Youth Academy. If more than 24 players chose to participate in the Youth Academy, there will be a tryout held on August 16th at 6:00PM. If 24 or less players register, all players will be accepted into the program.

 

Cost:

 

Cost for the Youth Academy is: $250 (includes all training, tournaments, games, and two academy tops -DOES NOT INCLUDE CLSF FEE)
